Went on a business trip to Beijing in May and I must say I had a great time there despite the awful weather. What I loved about Beijing is nonetheless - the food, especially their famous Peking Duck.

I’ve also visited several designer restaurants but didn’t manage to take photos though I very much wanted to. Wasn’t appropriate to take photos, coz its fine dining and the lights were too dim.
Visited the 798 Art District and totally fell in love with that place. Loved this PiNk VeSpA shot.

Throughout the trip, I was very well taken care off, stayed in this newly opened Regent Hotel, near to Wang Fu Jing Road - shopping heaven in Beijing.

Don’t you just love the bathtub!

I almost forgot my password to my web-site. Shows that I’ve neglected my blog for a long long time. Since my last entry, I’ve been to several countries, read several books and of course experienced and tasted some of the finest cuisine I’ve ever tasted.
Before I begin writing about my travels and my favourite topic “food”, I wanted to pen down a memorable event - wedding of my “sister” on 10 May 2008. Congratulations Chris & Lionel, this post is for both of you.
Seeing her journey through life and now married to a fine man, I’m truly happy for her.
Here’s a picture of the wedding couple and me at the St. Mary’s church…
Big sister HUG!
My two angels, boy am I going to miss them….

You can’t visit Hong Kong without trying their Wanton Noodles. The Hong Kong Wanton Noodles are somewhat different from the Malaysian version. It usually comes in soup. It doesn’t look appetizing at all when they served the dish but after trying my first mouthful, I must say that the texture of the noodle is very interesting. One word to describe it…SPRINGY. I quite like the plain taste and the wanton (filled with prawns) was a great combination to the plain soup noodle. Its definitely a nice dish to have on a cold winter weather.

The oyster sauce choy sum to go with the wanton mee..
Right after dinner, both Elsan (my cousin-in-law) and I decided to have dessert. I’m sure most of you would know by now that Hong Kong is famous for its variety of desserts. I ordered a bowl of black sesame tau foo fah and a plate of ginger tong yuen with coconut flakes and peanuts.
Enough said, I’m still dreaming eating both the desserts till today. The next day, I tried another version of tau foo fah….Watermelon Tau Foo Fah with Dry Ice..it was equally good. More food post coming up, stay tune…
