New Year Recipes - Crispy Prawns with Cabbage

Ingredients:
10 Big prawns, peeled
1 teaspoon Sugar

Batter
50 g Flour
50 g Cornflour
50 ml Beer
3 tabelspoons Oil
Cabbage leaves
2 tablespoons Water
Salt and freshly ground white pepper to taste

Procedures:

  1. Rinse prawns, and thoroughly pat dry with paper towels.
  2. Mix the prawns with sugar and pepper.
  3. Make the batter. Add the flour, beer, oil, water and salt into a bowl, mix evently until smooth.
  4. Dip the prawns into batter.
  5. Heat the oil in the frying pan, add prawns to deep fry until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Carefully remove prawns from oil, and drain prawns.
  7. Serve with raw or cooked cabbage leaves.
