Thanksgiving (Leftovers) Recipes - Turkey in Tomato Sauce Ingredients: 500 g Turkey breast, cubed 1 tablespoon Oil 1 Onion, finely chopped 1/2 Yellow pepper, sliced 4 Mushroom, sliced Sauce 4 teaspoons Soya sauce 4 teaspoons Tomato puree 2 teaspoons Cornflour 3 tablespoons Unsweetened pineapple juice 2 tablespoons Wine vinegar 1 teaspoon Brown sugar 300 ml Water Procedures: - Make the sauce. Add all the ingredients in a sauce pan and mix well.
- Bring to the boil, simmer and stirring until thickened. Keep warm.
- Heat the oil in a pan. Add the onion and stir fry for 2 minutes.
- Add the turkey meat and stir fry for another 2 minutes.
- Add the pepper and mushrooms, cook for 3 minutes.
- Pour in a serving dish and pour over the sauce. Serve hot.
