Christmas Recipes - Christmas Scones

Ingredients:
250 g All purpose flour 
2 teaspoons Baking powder 
1 teaspoon Milk powder
1 pinch of salt
30 g Caster sugar
50 g Butter
150 ml Milk 
90 g Raisins
1 Egg yolk

Procedures :

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, milk powder, sugar and salt.
  3. Add butter and mix.  The mixture will look like crumbs.
  4. Add milk, stir well into a dough. Then add raisins and mix well.
  5. Keep dough aside for 15 minutes.
  6. Roll out the dough to 20mm thick and cut into the shape you like (eg. christmas tree, snowman, star, bell, heart shape...) with a cookie cutter.
  7. Place them on baking tray and brush the scones with the egg yolk.
  8. Bake for 15 minutes or until lightly browned.
  9. Sprinkle over the icing sugar and serve.
