Halloween Recipes - Deep Fried Bat Wings with Pepper Ingredients: 1 kg Chicken wings 1/2 tablespoon Cooking wine 1/3 teaspoon fine chopped Garlic 1/3 teaspoon freshly ground chili 2 Xanthoxylum seeds Salt and freshly ground pepper 1 Egg, beaten Cornflour Procedures: - In a large stockpot or fryer, heat oil to 400°F (200°C).
- Layer a large platter with food-safe paper bags.
- Rinse chicken wings, and thoroughly pat dry with paper towels.
- Add in cooking wine, garlic, chili, xanthoxylum seeds, salt and pepper. Mix well and set aside to marinade for 30 minutes.
- Mix beaten egg with chicken wings.
- Coat chicken wings with cornflour evenly.
- Place the chicken wings in drain basket.
- Slowly lower basket into hot oil to completely cover chicken wings.
- Maintain the temperature of the oil at 350°F (175°C), and cook chicken wings until golden brown and crispy, ~ 25 minutes.
- Carefully remove basket from oil, and drain chicken wings.
- Sprinkle over salt and pepper. Serve hot.
