Halloween Recipes - Fried Monster Eye Balls

Ingredients:
300 g finely minced pork meat
100 g finely minced prawn meat
1 tablespoon chopped spring onion
1 tablespoon chopped celery
1 tablespoon chopped parsley
1 tablespoon chopped carrot
1 tablespoon Cornflour
Salt and freshly ground white pepper to taste
4 Lettuce leaves
2 Japanese cucumbers, sliced
2 Tomatoes, sliced 

Procedures:

  1. In a large stockpot or fryer, heat oil to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Mix the pork meat, prawn meat, spring onion, celery, parsley, carrot and flour until smooth and even.
  3. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Roll the mixture into meat balls and place in drain basket.
  5. Slowly lower basket into hot oil to completely cover meat balls.
  6. Maintain the temperature of the oil at 350°F (175°C), and cook meat balls until golden brown, ~ 15 minutes.
  7. Carefully remove basket from oil, and drain meat balls.
  8. Arrange the lettuce leaves on a serving dish and pour the meat balls on top.
  9. Serve with cucumbers and tomatoes.
