Christmas Recipes - English Muffin 

ImageIngredients :
450 g All-purpose flour
1 Teaspoon full of sugar
1 Teaspoon salt
15 g Active yeast
275 ml Warm milk (30°C/86°F)

Procedures :

  1. Dissolve the yeast in milk with sugar and salt.
  2. Leave to rest 10 minutes.
  3. The mixture should become mossy.
  4. Sift the flour into a large bowl and make a well in the centre.
  5. Pour the milk mixture in it.
  6. Mix by hand, form a ball.
  7. On a lightly floured surface, knead for ~10 minutes.
  8. Roll into a ball and put in a large bowl.
  9. Cover and leave to rise for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
  10. Knead for 1 minutes.
  11. Pat the dough, must be 1 cm thick.
  12. Cut 8 cm wide rounds with a cookie cutter.
  13. Put on a baking.
  14. Leave to rise 15 minutes.
  15. Using a large pan, cook the muffins 5-7 minutes on each side, on medium heat.
  16. Once cooked, the muffins should be golden and when hitting the bottom sound hollow.
