Baked Mashed Cheese Potatoes PDF Print E-mail

Thanksgiving Recipes - Baked Mashed Cheese Potatoes

Ingredients:
1 kg Potatoes
150 ml Milk
Salt and ground white pepper
2 teaspoons Butter
150 ml Double cream
130 g Emmental cheese, grated

Procedures:

  1. Cut the potatoes into pieces.
  2. Boil the potatoes in unsalted water until soft.
  3. Mash with a potato masher or fork.
  4. Boil the milk and add to the mashed potato until smooth.
  5. Add in salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Preheat the oven to 220°C, gas mark 7. 
  7. Grease an ovenproof dish with the butter and fill with the mashed potato.
  8. Smooth the surface and poura 1 cm thick layer of cream on top.
  9. Cover with grated cheese and bake for 30 minutes until the surface is golden brown and crunchy.
