New Year Recipes - Scones Ingredients : 250 g All purpose flour 2 teaspoons Baking powder 1 teaspoon Milk powder 1 pinch of salt 30 g Caster sugar 50 g Butter 150 ml Milk 90 g Raisins 1 Egg yolk
Procedures : - Preheat the oven to 200°C.
- In a large bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, milk powder, sugar and salt.
- Add butter and mix. The mixture will look like crumbs.
- Add milk, stir well into a dough. Then add raisins and mix well.
- Keep dough aside for 15 minutes.
- Roll out the dough to 20mm thick and cut rounds with a cookie cutter.
- Place them on baking tray and brush the scones with the egg yolk.
- Bake for 15 minutes or until lightly browned.
