Halloween Recipes - Alcoholic Bat

Ingredients:
1 Chicken (1.5 kg)
3 tablespoons Butter
10 Small Onions
20 Button mushrooms
50 ml Brandy
150 ml White wine
300 ml Double cream
4 Tomatoes
1 Apple
15 Green olives
1 bay Leaf
1 teaspoon Curry powder
1 teaspoon Thyme
1 teaspoon Tarragon
1/2 teaspoon finely chopped chives
1/2 teaspoon finely chopped parsley
Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste 

Procedures:

  1. Cut the chicken into pieces.
  2. Peel and chop the tomatoes. Peel, core and dice the apple.
  3. Melt the butter in a pan. Peel the onions and brown the onions lightly.
  4. Remove the onions and set aside.
  5. Pour the button mushrooms in the pan and fry for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Remove the button mushrooms and set aside.
  7. Pour the chicken in the pan and brown the chicken pieces all over.
  8. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  9. Add in brandy and heat gently. 
  10. Add in white wine, cream, tomatoes, apple, olives, bay leaf, curry powder, thyme, tarragon and the browned onions.
  11. Simmer over low heat for 20 minutes.
  12. Add in fried mushrooms.
  13. Sprinkle with finely chopped chives and parsley.
