Halloween Recipes - Poisoned Pears Ingredients: 4 Fresh pears 1 Lemon 2 Cinnamon sticks 250 g Sugar 250 ml Water Vanilla ice cream
Sauce 40 g Cocoa 80 g Sugar 100 ml Water
Procedures: - Wash the lemon and squeeze the juice.
- Peel the pears, do not remove the stalks.
- Brush pears with lemon juice to prevent discolour.
- Make the syrup. Mix the water and sugar and bring to the boil.
- Stir slowly until the sugar has melted.
- Add the cinnamon sticks and pears, simmer until soft.
- Set aside and allow to cool.
- Make the sauce. Mix the cocoa, sugar and water in a pan.
- Bring to the boil, lower the heat and simmer for 5 minutes until the sauce has thickened.
- Place one pear on a serving plate, scope the ice cream and put around the pear.
- Pour the sauce over the pear and ice cream.
